Types of structure

• Binary

  A composition in two parts or sections. (A B).
• Episodic

  A choreography with several sections, linked to a theme.
• Rondo

  A music or dance form with altering and repeating sections e.g. verse and chorus (ABACADAE).
• Ternary

  A composition in three parts. (ABA).
• Narrative

  Dance that tells a story.
