Fetal

• The 4 relevant factors:

  1. Intrauterine (Inside uterus) growth retardation: Heart disease, Stroke, Diabetes, High blood pressure
  2. Premature delivery of a normal growth for gestational age fetus
  3. Overnutrition in utero (Mother eat too much)
  4. Intergenerational factors (Genes)
• Pattern of growth matter: Restricted fetal growth followed by very rapid postnatal catch up growth (Worried --> Feed too much)
• Large size at birth: Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease
