Practises

• Liturgical worship - set pattern on a regular basis led by the priest+

  Non Liturgical worship - less formal as it does not follow a set pattern and can involve more unscripted or improvised forms of worship.
• Informal worship - clapping, dancing and music to emphasise the importance of spreading the gospel

  speaking in tongues; represents the holy spirit

  Private worship - spending time alone, reading the bible, meditation...
• Christians pray to:

  • get closer to god
  • ask for gods help
  • praise or thank him for what he has done
  • to say sorry for their wrongdoings

  Types of prayers:

  • Set Prayers; using a prayer book
  • The Lords Prayer; believed Jesus taught to his followers, hold key beliefs about god
  • Informal prayer; pray privately, use the bible to help them understand
