    • It’s based on Casey’s own life experiences in Liverpool
    • In 1979, Margaret Thatcher became PM & made strict economic policies – led to recessions with high unemployment (especially in Northern cities – eg: Liverpool)
    • Thatcher got into conflict with industrial unions (rich got tax cuts BUT poor were often unemployed & had wages drop)
    • Some saw Conservative policies (in 1980s) as a form of class war (aimed at working class)
