  • China owns one of the 5 permanent seats of the United Nations
  • The United nations was formed after WW2 and the People's Republic of china has been a member since 1971.
  • In 2018 China provided the United nations 8% of the budget for that year and 8000 reserve troops.
  • As part of the UN China has recently been involved in imposing sanctions to denuclearise North Korea.

  • The EU has criticised China for not doing enough to prevent counterfeit goods. 60% of counterfeit goods confiscated in the EU are thought to be from China.
