Special Senses

• Graphesthesia - using blunt instrument to write a number such as 2, 3 or 5 on the palm of the client's hand
• Extinction test - simultaneously touch the client in the same area on both sides of the body at the same point.
• To assess gait and balance, ask the client to walk naturally across the room
• Point localization - briefly touch the client. Ask the client to identify the points touched.
