Point Guard - acts as the team leader. He knows every team member’s strengths and makes sure that the agreed play is executed.
Shooting Guard - designated shooter from the outside.
Small Forward - all around player.
PowerForward - Is the go-to person in the shaded area. The shaded area is the floor underneathe the goal.
Center - usually the tallest and bulkiest player in the team. He is assigned mostly to the shaded area. He is the last line of defense nearest the goal.
The object of the game is to outscore the opposing team within the given time period.
International Basketball Federation (FIBA) - implements a ten-minute per quarter rule.
National Basketball Association of the United States - implements a 12-minute per quarter rule.
