  • Alcohol initially produces a sense of happiness and well-being
  • After further short term consumption, it can lead to: blurred vision, problems with coordination and balance, loss of inhibitions, nausea, memory loss, slurred speech
  • Long term consequences of alcohol include: damage to the central and peripheral nerves. Increased risk of a variety of medical problems: cirrhosis in liver, sleep disturbance, infections, memory loss, anxiety and depression.
  • Harm to unborn foetus, increased aggression, car accidents, coma and death
