  • Comedy Genre is a genre of literature that adopts a humorous or familiar style and depicts laughable characters and situations. Developed from celebrations honoring the Greek god of wine and revelry, the genre takes its name from the god's fun-loving nature: komos, meaning 'revelry' or 'merry- making.'
  • Fantasy is a genre of theoretical or speculative fiction that uses magic and other supernatural elements as a main part of the plot, theme, or setting. It is often set in a fictional world that resembles or is inspired by the real world, mythology, or folklore. Fantasy has many subgenres, such as high fantasy, sword and sorcery, urban fantasy, and historical fantasy, that can be categorized by different features or styles
  • Horror genre is a type of fiction that aims to create feelings of fear, dread, disgust, and terror in the audience. Horror can be divided into sub-genres like psychological horror and supernatural horror. Horror often uses elements like ghosts, demons, vampires, monsters, serial killers, and gore to create an atmosphere of horror. The word horror comes from the French word horror, which means to shudder or bristle

It is related to fantasy, horror, and superhero fiction and contains many subgenres. Science fiction can be found in books, art, television, films, games, theatre, and other media.
  • With the proliferation of particular genres, film subgenres can also emerge: the legal drama, for example, is a sub-genre of drama that includes courtroom- and trial-focused films.
  • Subgenres are often a mixture of two separate genres; genres can also merge with seemingly unrelated ones to form hybrid genres, where popular combinations include the romantic comedy and the action comedy film.
  • Genres are not fixed; they change and evolve over time, and some genres may largely disappear
