  • Baddeley (1986) further subdivided it into:
    • phonological store
    • articulatory process
  • articulatory process: the inner voice (holds words you hera, see and silently repeats them in a loop) like an inner voice. this is a kind of maintenance rehearsal
  • limited capacity, believed to be 2 seconds of what you say
  • the phonological store- inner ear ( holds words that have been heard for 1-2 seconds)
