• omnipotent - all powerful, god is the creator and has power over life and death. god of classical theism in christianity
• omnibenevolent - all loving, jesus being human shows gods loving towards humans
• omnipresent - everywhere at all times. not deist belief but a theist belief
• deist - god made humans and then stepped away from humanity
• theist - god made humans and is still involved in daily activities and humanity
• omniscient- all knowing
• forgiving - key christian concept, jesus(the son) dying for our sins shows gods loving nature
• god as redeemer - jesus died to save us from sin
• agapé - self sacrificial love, sacrifice your life for other humans. eg parent and child
• trinity - god comes in three parts: the father, the son and the holy spirit

  not believed by all christians as it can be seen as polytheistic
• salvation - key christian concept, being saved by god and jesus from sin and death
• resurrection - rising again after death, jesus rose on easter sunday
• ascension - when jesus went back up into heaven
• incarnation - the belief that god became human in the form of jesus christ
• crucifixion- jesus was crucified on a cross, he died for our sins
• judgement - end of time god will judge us all for our actions/deeds, different denominations have different beliefs about what will happen
• monotheism - belief in one god, not multiple gods or multiple gods with different names, some christian’s may see the trinity as against monotheism as it splits god into three
• transcendent - god is beyond human understanding, beyond human comprehension, beyond human experience, god is outside of time and space
• immanent - God is present in the world and is involved in human affairs.
• benevolent - having or showing a kind and friendly disposition; generous; charitable; loving
• miracle - a supernatural event that is believed to be caused by God and wouldn’t be able to happen otherwise, such as the resurrection of Jesus
• holiness - the quality of being holy, godly, or sacred; the state of being holy, above and beyond
• purity - the quality of being free from sin, especially of being free from adulteration, cleanliness in faith
• matthew 25 - the parable of the sheep and the goat (god will separate)
• m25 : then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?
• m25 : the king will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
• m25 : say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.

• grace - forgiveness and love
• paraclete - the Holy Spirit who is present to help us in our daily lives, comes alongside us to guide us and help us to live a life of faith
• pentecost - 50 days after resurrection, holy spirit descended on 120 people, felt power of god
• nicene creed - catholics, anglicans, most protestants; statement of faith in liturgical worship
• nicene creed: "we believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth“
• genesis 1&2 - the creation stories, slightly different and written about 800 years apart
• genesis 3 (the fall) - "the lord God said, 'let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth’”
• genesis 3 - original sin, adam and eve ate the forbidden fruit
• literal bible interpretation - believes that the bible is the word of god and should be taken literally, no error/contradiction
