Drawing what you see under a microscope
1. Clear line drawing- no shading
2. Label main cell structures
3. Add a title and the magnification
You
start on the
lowest
objective lens to make it easier to
focus
and give a
bigger
field of view
Starch granules can be seen under a microscope as small
spheres
with
concentric
rings inside them.
Place specimen onto
slide
Add stain
Add
cover slip
Soak up any
excess liquid
with a
paper towel
Switch on the light source and place your
slide
on the
stage
Use the lowest objective lens and turn the
focusing wheel
to move the lens close to the
slide
Slowly adjust
the
focusing wheel
until you can see a clear image
Increase the magnification by changing the
objective lens
and
re-focus
