    • Should be kept in marriage
    • sex outside of marriage is sinful

    Homosexuality- attraction to the same gender
    • God created relationships to start a family- homosexuals naturally
    can't do that ' be fruitful and multiply '
    • The Bible is old and outdated so it's teachings on homos are too
    ' thou shall not wear wool and linen mixed together '
    • Jesus taught ' love thy neighbour ' - we shouldn't judge but respect

    • Roman Catholics- not allowed, it is against nature, children are a gift from God
    • Liberals- good to limit the number of children, yes if the child will
    cause harm for the mother or existing children

    • less people marry
    • marry at older ages
    Importance- A gift to bless couples, a vow and promise to God, allows us to raise children and to be ' fruitful and multiply ', not have to be celibate anymore

    • Church of England- accepts that some marriages fail, it is unloving
    to force an unhappy couple to stay together
    • Roman Catholics- divorce is impossible, God made couples ' one
    flesh ' and can't be undone, remarrying deemed as adultery, marriage can be annulled if couple never had sex or children - could be a misunderstanding

    • raise children in faith (baptise)
    • children should look after parents when older- ' honour thy father
    and thy mother '
    • children should have their own families and raise them in faith

    • more same sex families
    • more single parent families
    • more extended families
    Attitudes- single parent families are welcomed in Church of England, Roman Catholics are against same sex because it is seen as unnatural

    • The Church of England holds blessings in support
    • The Bible is old fashioned - ' thou shall not wear wool and linen
    mixed together ' so more Churches are accepting
    • Roman Catholics are against - ' be fruitful and multiply '
    Polygamy- to have more than 1 partner
    • Law- illegal
    • Christianity- illegal, doesn't follow God's plan, unnatural

    Roles of Men and Women
    • Literal- God made women for separate roles, women bring up kids
    in Christianity whereas men provide for families and lead in religion
    • Liberal- men and women were made as equals - ' there is neither
    male nor female for you are all one in the eyes of Christ ', Jesus treated
    everyone as his equals, God intended the genders to work together, women discovered Jesus' resurrection

    Gender prejudice and discrimination
    Discrimination- acting against someone due to their protected characteristics
    • Home life- women should look after children, clean for husband
    • Workplace- women earn less money, stereotypical jobs that are
    associated with women (e.g. maid, cleaner, nanny)
