• Informal register/Casual - is conversational and appropriate when writing to friends and people you know very well.
• Love letters, text messages, and chats are example of Informal register/Casual
• Intimate register - this style is used by participants who know each other well or share a very close relationship, such as between close friends, siblings, husband and wife, parents and children, and boyfriend and girlfriend.
• Intimate register - they may use words of endearment such as babe, love, dear, honey as a sign of intimacy.
• Frozen register - is the most formal style and is reserved for very formal situations such as during weddings, other religious services or rituals, court proceedings, and other formal ceremonies.
• Language Register - is the level of formality with which you speak. different situations and people call for different registers.
• World Englishes - it is a term used to refer to the various approaches in describing and analyzing the language.
• World Englishes - It is a concept that refers to the different ways by which users from around the world communicate in English.
• Matthew Sutherland - says baffles foreigners because the expression does not exist outside of the Philippines.
• Standard English - is defined as consisting of the “conventional vocabulary usage of educated speakers and writers of English (Robert & Tugeon, 1998).
• Standard English - to use this kind of English means to follow a spelling or pronunciation system that is consistent with the prescribed standard.
