    • Laestrygons are cannibal-giants.
  • Realm of Circe
    Odysseus had his first romance here. Circe, the beautiful witch, had fallen in love with him.
    • She turned Odysseus’ men into pigs.
  • realm of hades -
    • Here, Odysseus and his men had to meet Tereiseias, the prophet.
    • Tereiseias will prophesize how will they be going back to Greece.
    • He told Odysseus that he will just be the one to back to Greece.
  • island of the sirens -
    • They passed through this island while Odysseus was tied strongly to a post in the ship and his men had deafened by the beeswax he put into their ears.
    • The sirens will lure them with their songs.
    • Land of Scylla and Charybdis
    This is the most difficult journey they had. 
    • They need to pass between the sides of the whirlpool and the six-headed dragon.
    • After which, they also need to pass between the crashing rocks.
  • island of the sun - This is the island of Apollo. They were told by Tereiseias in the underworld not to eat the golden cows here.

    • This was the Island of Calypso, a sea nymph who had fallen in love with Odysseus.

    • When Zeus ordered Calypso for Odysseus freedom, she obeyed to free him.
    • When he was sailing home, Poseidon saw him and created big waves to destroy the raft.
    • He was determined to kill Odysseus.
