• Earthquake - caused by sudden slip of the fault

• Reverse (Convergent boundary) - move towards each other
• Strike slip (transform fault) - slide/pass each other
• Magnitude - a measure of the energy released by an earthquake
• Intensity - the magnitude of a quantity per unit area (result)

• Hypocenter - inner core of earthquake
• Epicenter - outer center of Earthquake
• Seismograph- instrument to identify earthquake
