  81% increase of correct info but also a 61% increase in incorrct info. (false +ves) when CI was used instead of SI. This shows lack of reliability and validity

  Police must treat all info collected from CIs with caution - does not guarentee accuracy
• Problems using CI in practice


  Police officers say it requires time - which is not often available - they prefer to use deliberate strategies aimed to limit eye witnesses report to minimum amount officers feel necessary

  CI requires special training - many forces only been able to provide a few hours

  CI has not been widespread/successful in real life application
