    having leaders who are capable, honest & incorruptible

    being forward-looking & taking sound action early, the gov can minimize threats & maximise opportunities for people of SG

    allowing citizens to have a say in decision-making & are more willing to be involved in promoting the good of society
  • what is practicing meritocracy?
    a system that distributes opportunities to enable future successes, so that people are rewarded according to effort they put in rather than factors such as their race, religion or family background, thus encouraged to work harder
