  • Mang Tomas -  the father of the family, the only thing he does is to hang around and get drunk. He encouraged his two daughters to work as dancers, nenita and rita.
  • Aling Rosa -  the caring, loving, religious, and responsible mother of the family. She always asks God for guidance and strength for her family. She still works despite having a weak heart.
  • Tony - the second-oldest sibling, a very hardworking and responsible jeepney driver just to earn money. He always gives his earnings to his mother to pay debts.
  • Rita - the oldest sibling, is forced by her father to dance in the cabaret. She was sent to dance at a very young age to earn money to buy medicines for her mother.
  • Nenita - A growing seventeen-year-old, her father also encouraged her to dance in the cabaret where her sister also works, but of course Aling Rosa and Tony disagree.
  • Juanito -  the youngest son of the family, used to go with Rita to the bar at night, so She'll have company going home, but after he saw Rita and a Chinese enter a room the other night, he decided not to go with Rita again in the bar.
  • Elena - The co-worker of Rita in the club, who is  gaudily dressed, in a bright colored, tight, short skirt, wears heavy make-up and a shawl around her shoulders.
