  • Elastic potential energy = 0.5 x spring constant x extension^2
  • A pulley can be used to make sure the string doesnt rub again the wood.
  • SPRING PRACTICAL

    1) Clamp and mark the bottom of spring
    2) Measure length of original spring, use a ruler clamped to stand.
    3) Add mass to spring.
    4) Record new length and mass.
    5) Repeat Until you use all masses.
