  • Synergy – happens when a group of people work together to come up with a more effective solution than just trying to solve it on their own. It creates a better, higher way to achieve something
  • 3 ROAD BLOCKS
    Ignorance – Not knowing how other people think, what they believe, or how they feel
     
    Cliques – wanting to be with those we’re comfortable with; only a problem when that group rejects others
     
    Prejudice – not treating people fairly; includes stereotypes, labeling, or prejudging others because they are different
  • Habit 6 – differences are strength and not a weakness
  • Sharpen the saw – preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have – YOURSELF
    • It means having a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of your life: physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual
  • Common Paradigm – I’m too busy to take care of myself
  • Leadership Paradigm – I take care of myself so I can do everything better

    Body (Physical) – Exercise, nutrition rest, stress management
     
    Heart (Emotional) – consistent deposits in EBA’s of key relationships
     
    Mind (Mental) – Reading, writing, learning, study
     
    Spirit/Soul (Spiritual) – service, values clarification, inspirational literature, meditation, nature
