  • Salmonella is a type of bacteria which causes food poisoning.
    Infected people can suffer from fever, stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhoea. These are caused by the toxins the bacteria produces.
  • You can get Salmonella by eating undercooked meat or drinking unpasteurised milk due to the animal already having the bacteria.
  • Gonorrhoea is an STD. Passed on by sexual contact, caused by bacteria.
  • Someone with Gonorrhoea will have a discharge from the vagina or penis and have pains urinating.
  • Gonorrhoea has become resistant to penicillin. Can be treated with stronger antibiotics and using barrier methods (e.g. condom)
