    Can still see a patient in the NDIS, but are limited to see patients who are either plan-managed or self-managed

    • Gives patients greatest choice and flexibility over their allocation of funds
    • Requires more responsibility
  • Exercise Physiology falls within the support categories of:
    • Improved Health and Wellbeing
    • Improved Daily Living
  • Exercise physiology is now included in 12. and 15.
  • Treatment Plan
    1. Clients will be allocated an allowance to each support category
    2. Client need for support services is assessed and funding to each support category will be determined by a case manager
    3. The provider will guide the client as to how their 'spend' their allocation over the funding period
  • Most AEP services will mostly be accessed in 12. and 15. - however this support also includes the majority of allied health services (making access to funding challenging)
  • AEPs are able to receive funding from the NDIS
    When the physical and/or wellbeing difficulties are directly attributed to the disability, and are hence able to assist them to participate in society
  • Under Support Category 12.
    The AEP service provided must be able to support and maintain or improve the physical activity and wellbeing
  • Prices for support are negotiated by the provider, and can reach the maximum price
  • Payment terms for Self-managed participants

    The participant will pay the provider directly and obtain a receipt from the provider, to acquit their expenditure against their plan using the myplace participant portal
  • Payment terms for Plan Managed participants

    Have a plan manager assisting them, providers need to send invoices directly to the participant's plan manager. The plan manager will process the payment through the myplace provider portal and pay the provider
  • Payment terms for NDIA Managed participants
    Payment requests will be lodged online (via myplace provider portal) and will be paid within 2 business days of successful lodgment
  • To successfully claim it is important that you have the following information
    • Participant name
    • Participant Reference Number or NDIS number
    • Dates of support
    • Support Item Reference Number
    • Support Item Price
  • Cost for EP services = $166.99/hr
