  • Spurious correlation occurs when two variables are correlated but don't have a causal relationship.
  • Causation means that one event cause another even to occur. it can only be determined from appropriately designed experiment
  • Correlation means there is a relationship or pattern between the values of two variables.
  • Scientific method includes: observation, questioning, research, hypothesis, experiment, analysis data, establishing conclusion, and peer review (it goes in a cycle)
  • Sample bias is when the experimenter has bias towards the investigation
  • Confirmation bias is the tendency to interpret evidence as confirmation if your exisiting beliefs.

    Evidence obtained through observation and experience, supporting scientific theories and hypotheses.

    Evidence based on personal experiences or stories, often subjective and limited in scope.
  • The double-blind experiment is the when the experimenter doesn't know which option is which as well as the person getting investigated
