    1. Jesus and disciples approached Jerusalem near Bethpage and Bethany and came to the Mount of Olives
    2. Jesus sent two disciples with instructions to find a colt that had never been ridden and bring it to him
    3. The disciples found the colt, some bystanders asked what they were doing and they answered as Jesus had told them
    4. They brought the colt to Jesus and people spread their cloaks and branches on the road in front of him
    5. The people began to shout "Praise God! God bless him who comes in the name of the Lord! God bless the coming Kingdom of King David, our Father!"
    6. Jesus went to the Temple and looked around, then went out to Bethany with the twelve disciples
  • The entry into Jerusalem was filled with symbolism, which identified Jesus as the Messiah
