Circle
The set of all points in a plane at a given distance (radius) from a given point (center) in the plane. It is named by its center.
Radius
A segment from the center to any point of the circle that joins the center and a point on the circle
Chord
A line segment whose endpoints lie on the circle
Diameter
A chord containing the center
Secant
A line that intersects the circle in two points
Tangent
A line lying on the same plane that intersects the circle at exactly one point
Congruent circles
Two or more circles having the equal radius
Concentric circles
Two or more coplanar circles sharing the same center
Arc
Two points on the circle and the continuous part of the circle between the two points
Semicircle
An arc of a circle whose endpoints are the points of the diameter
Minor arc
An arc smaller than a semicircle
Major arc
An arc larger than a semicircle
Central angle
An angle whose vertex is the center of the circle
