  • Philippine games or "Larong Pinoy" are visibly seen all over the regions in the Philippines and sometimes these games are likely similar or share common characteristics with our neighbor Asian countries. Our traditional games are also influenced by other countries during the colonization period like Americans and Spaniards.

    1. The guard of the can is chosen by a game by throwing the slipper on the line, who the farthest is the It
    2. The hitters should be ready to hit the can using a stone or a slipper but they will never cross the toe-line
    3. The slippers could retrieve if they could knock down the can
    4. The It should be fast so to put the can inside the circle and tag one of the hitter
    5. The hitter that's been tag is the new It
    6. When the can is outside the circle the hitters could knock down or kicked the can
    7. If the hitters is not able to retrieve his slipper, the It will get it and place it under the can inside the circle now he or she is the new guard
    8. If the hitters is not able to retrieve his sleeper, another hitter could help him/her to be saved

    1. A contest where participants try to climb the pole in turns to secure the prize, and anyone who fails to reach the top is disqualified
    2. The winner is the one who succeeds in reaching and untying the prize or retrieving the flag

    1. Draw a massive rectangle on the ground using chalk for clarity and divide it into smaller rectangles depending on the number of players
    2. The players should form two teams with an equal number of players, where one team plays defensive and guards the other team against passing the lines
    3. The guards assign a player to the lateral line in the middle of the rectangle and the other players on each horizontal line
    4. The objective of the runners is to get across to one end of the big rectangle and back without being touched or tagged by a guard
    5. During the game, the guards should ensure they have both feet on the ground before tagging their opponent; otherwise, it will not count
    6. Once a runner is tagged, he or she gets out of the game
    7. If a runner makes it across the big rectangle and back without being touched with the butterfly fingers, they earn a point
    8. Once all the runners of a team have been tagged, it's game over
    9. The teams then switch sides, and the runners become the guards and vice-versa

    1. Throw the stone on the marked area. Try to aim for number five. The player whose stone is nearest to the number five is the first to play and the stone furthest is the last one
    2. The first player will throw the stone at the first box. Then, he will jump across the area without stepping in the first box
    3. Before he returns, he should pick up his stone, still, without jumping on the first box
    4. It's the next player's turn. He will only do what the first player did
    5. After all players get to turn. The first player will now throw his stone on the second box and repeat the procedure, now not stepping on the second box
    6. If a player steps on a line, they stop and let the next player try. They have to wait until their next turn to try again
    7. The first player to reach the last box wins
