  • Opinion: The education, impression or estimation of the value or worth of a person or thing.
  • Agreement or Disagreement: The simple act of saying you either agree or disagree is already an expression of opinion
  • Fact: is proven

  • Definition: the meaning of the vocabulary word is in the sentence itself usually following the unfamiliar word.

  • Antonym: the sentence uses a word with an opposite definition to give the meaning of the vocabulary word.
  • Examples: this type of context clues uses examples or explanations to help the reader infer the meaning of the vocabulary word.
  • Apposition: a phrase following the word which give the meaning and is set off by commas.
  • Comparison: a phrase beginning with Like or As follows the word.
  • Description: when a reader describe the word to understand the meaning of thethe vocabulary word.
  • Topic Sentence: a sentence that can be found sometimes at the beginning middle or end of paragraph which correspond to the topic of a paragraph.
