  • How to enter a formula
    1. Click on the cell where you want to enter a formula and type = (equal sign) as the first character
    2. Enter a value or select the cell that includes the value you want in the formula
    3. Add the necessary operators or functions. Use parentheses, if applicable
    4. When the formula is complete, click on the ✓ button or press enter on the end of the formula at the formula bar
  • Cell referencing

    Using cell references, you can control how formulas in a cell display when you paste or drag them to a new location
  • Relative referencing
    By default, Excel records new formula entries are relative reference formulas. When you copy or move a relative reference formula, Excel changes the cell references in the copies of the formulas to reflect the relative location of the formula from the cell references in the formula
  • Absolute referencing

    You use an absolute reference formula when you want to anchor cell references in a formula. In absolute referencing, the cell references always point to a specific location regardless of where the formula is moved or copied
  • How to use an absolute reference

    1. Click on the cell where you want to enter a formula
    2. Type the equal sign (=) to begin the formula
    3. Select the cell to be computed then enter an arithmetic operator
    4. Select another cell then press the F4 key on the keyboard to make the cell reference absolute. Observe the $ signs added to the cell reference
  • Calculating cost using MS Excel
    1. Type in your data to MS Excel
    2. Use the SUM formula to get the summation of the values from C4 to C7
    3. Check if out estimated price will earn us profit. Type the additional information shown below then apply the arithmetic formula for subtraction
    4. Include the information below and deduct the Total from the New Sale price
  • AVERAGE function

    Used to determine the average rating of Quality, Taste, Presentation, and Product
  • COUNTIF function

    Used to determine how many people said YES or NO if they were satisfied with the product or if they would recommend it to their friend
  • AVERAGEIF function

    Used to average a range if the cell beside it equals to "teacher" and/ or "student"

  • Slide
    A single page of a presentation collectively, a group of slides may be known as a slide deck
  • Design templates
    Pre-designed graphic styles that you can apply to your slides
  • Transitions
    Motion effects that when in Slide Show view add movement to your slides as you advance from one slide to another

  • Using hyperlinks in Microsoft PowerPoint
    1. Select an object or highlight a text
    2. Go to insert > Hyperlink (under the links category) or use the shortcut key Ctrl+ K
    3. Link to options: Existing File or Web Page, Place in This Document, Create New Document, E-mail Address
    4. When done, click Ok, to apply the hyperlink
  • Embedding objects in Microsoft PowerPoint
    1. Go to the Insert tab
    2. On the Text group, click Object
    3. Options: Creates New, Create from File
    4. Once you are done, click Ok
