    To praise and thank God for his blessings, to ask for forgiveness of sin, to seek God's help for themselves or others who may be suffering, deepen their relationship with God, give them comfort and strength
  • What form does liturgical worship typically take?

    Priest leads the congregation in formal prayers that have set responses. Bible passages are read out, particularly from Gospels. Priest may perform symbolic actions. Often includes music or hymns. An example of liturgical worship is the eucharist (mass).
