Cards (7)

  • Ohms Law= Voltage= Current x Resistance
  • Current is the rate of flow of charge in a circuit, measured in Amps (A)
  • Voltage/Potential difference is the force that pushes current (Amps) around a circuit, it's measured in Volts (V)
  • Resistance is the force that opposes the flow of current around a circuit, it's measured in Ohms (Ω)
  • An L.D.R (Light dependent resistor)is a device that changes its resistance based on the amount of light its exposed to.
When exposed to light, resistance decreases.
When there is no light, resistance increases.
  • A fixed resistor is a device that has a set amount of resistance that does not change. They are used to control the flow of electrical current.
  • A milliammeter measures current
    a voltmeter measures voltage
