  • part-time work - less than full-time hours (e.g., 2 days per week), usually with regular hours
  • full time - 5 days a week typically 38 hours a week
  • apprenticeship - combination of paid work and training, can last between 1-4 years depending on industry, apprentice must complete set number of hours of practical work and pass theory assessments
  • casual work - no guarantee of ongoing work, often paid hourly rates, may be called upon at short notice
  • fixed term contract - temporary employment agreement that specifies start and end dates, used when there is a specific project or task to be completed within a certain period of time
