    TNC's:
    Global dispersal of food clothes and other goods by TNC's plays a big role in shaping common culture
    - Promote western lifestyles through advertising (fast food consumerism, coffee culture)
    - some corps like have rolled out global products promoting a western lifestyle - Nike, Apple, Lego
    TNC's do sometimes glocalise products to suit local tastes markets and culture
    Media:
    Mass media encourages consumerism especially promoting brands through advertising
    - Certain styles of music have become dominant due to TNC's power to sell their artists
    - western films portray ways of life that other cultures may aspire toward. They also portray western cultural norms such as Christmas
    Migration & Tourism:
    Tourists have can several impacts on local cultures which tend to be negative
    These include then demanding : drugs, alcohol and tobacco while abroad increasing availability and circulation leading to locals start using them, and sex which increases number of prostitutes to tend to tourists and may conflict with local beliefs on sex and marriage

    Migration and Tourism:
    Migrants affect host countries culture, spreading their own and learning others
  • Anti-Globalisation, Jarawa Tribe

    Tribe is cut of from society but deforestation and an increase in humans greed for land is pushing them into smaller areas, threatening their isolation
    -in 1997, from explosion to other humans, the Jarawa tribe was infected by measles, which killed many of their people as they had no immunity.

    -Citarum river Indonesia, textile dye flowed into river- 2009 clean river law, mainly ignored
    -the Aral Sea, was the 4th largest inland sea then disappeared in 20 years due to the source rivers being redirected to irrigate plants
    -people getting ill from pesticides used on Spanish strawberries, in the soils
