  • The sky grew ominous, obscuring the bright sun, and became charcoal black like it was painted using the ashes of a thousand fires. The lightning struck far away, followed by the ominous rumble of thunder. The sea was furious and formed massive waves that crashed down onto the deserted island’s rocky shore with a deafening roar.
  • Glen and Lily abhorred each other. They had been rivals for as long as they could remember and their hatred towards each other grew stronger with the years and bitterness. But now, they found themselves united in fear as they braced against the ferocious storm that threatened to consume them
  • Glen muttered under his breath, “Will we ever get off this island?”. His voice was thick with frustration; Lily had shot him a scathing glare, her eyes flashing with defiance. They both understood that to survive, they had to set aside their differences. From now on, their past grievances dissolved like foam on the water. The years of rivalry and animosity had faded into the background as it drowned out by the desperate instinct to survive. Together, they faced the daunting challenges that lay ahead: finding food, shelter, and a way off this abandoned island before the storm demolished them.
  • With heavy hearts, they ventured into the dense forest, the air was thick with humidity and the scent of saltwater lingered under their noses. Vines tangled around their ankles like serpents, while branches reached out to snatch at their clothing with greedy fingers.  But despite the challenges they faced, they persisted, driven by a shared determination to survive.
  • They struggled and were exhausted for hours before they finally came across a tiny clearing tucked in between two enormous trees. Falling back onto the plush mossy ground, they took in short, raspy gasps of relief. They came to realise that, despite their disagreements, they had the same objective. As they worked together to create shelter from fallen branches and palm leaves, they discovered that they were capable of more than they ever imagined.
  • Days turned into weeks, and still, they remained stranded on the deserted island, their hopes of rescue dwindling with each passing day. But through the hardships, Glen and Lily forged a bond that transcended their hatred, finding solace in each other's company as they faced the unknown together. To their relief, they realised their fire signal had worked as a small vessel seemed to be edging closer by the minute. Glen and Lily boarded the vessel, collapsing as soon as they entered, the rays of sunlight blinding them.
