• Change since Yalta 1 - Red army were occupying most of Eastern Europe
• Change since Yalta 2 - America had a new president being Harry Truman due to Roosevelt dying in April
• Change since Yalta 3 - Americans had successfully tested the atomic bomb
• Disagreement 1 - Germany - Stalin wanted to cripple Germany to prevent future threats but Stalin did not want to repeat Treaty Of Versailles
• Disagreement 2 - reparations - Stalin demanded compensation from Germany after losing 20 million people. Truman did not want to repeat end of world war 1 so rejected demand
• Disagreement 3 - Eastern Europe - Stalin said if the Slav were united nobody would dare make a move on them , Truman was upset by this and developed tough attitude against Stalin
