Resurrection and ascension

• due to it being the sabbath, jesus was placed inside a tomb instead of being burried.
• when some followers, mary magdalene went to annoint (baptise) jesus but they were shocked to find it was not there
• In 1 stor, jesus appears infront of her, in another, he appears on the outskits of jerusalem to 2 strangers
• jesus' resurrection shows that god has power over death and life
• the resurrection gives hope to christians as if jesus rose from the dead then so will we when we die.
• the resurrection is important because it proves that jesus is who he said he was - the son of god
• over the next 40 days, jesus appeared to his followers to spread the news.
