    • Slum structures existing prior to 1/1/1995
    • Slum dwellers get a self contained 21m squared carpet area tenement free of cost
    • No financial involvement from the government
  • Improvements in rehabitated areas

    • Clean water that is not contaminated which will reduce disease
    • Sewage pipes meaning there are less diseases caused by open sewage
    • Cleaner with no asbestos or rats which can give bubonic plague
    • Windows for ventilation so there will be clean fresh air and it will be less stuffy
    • Outdoor clean safe areas that children can play in so they are not in open sewage or rubbish trips which will decrease illnesses and injuries
  • Rehabitation
    • Less community spirit and people do nor spend as much time with neighbors
    • People may be further away from their jobs/education
  • 15300 have been rehabited which is only 13% of the aim
  • 230 projects are stalled due to lack of money
