4.4 The role of Jesus in restoration through sacrifice

• (1) God gave everyone free will so they could actively choose to follow him, rather than be mindless slaves to him
• (2) Humans used this to sin and disobey God, ruining the perfect relationship between God and humanity
• (3) Humans are now born with the tendency to sin - known as Original Sin
• (4) Jesus came down to earth to live the perfect life in God's eyes to restore the relationship between God and humanity
