9. Field investigations

    1. Choose a starting point on a field in an area where the grass is regularly cut
    2. Use a random number generator to get a set of non-bias coordinates to place the first quadrat
    3. Count the number of different plant species within the quadrat
    4. Return to starting point and repeat steps 2 and 3 a further 14 times using different random coordinates
    5. Repeat steps one to four for part of the field where the grass is irregularly cut
    6. Compare the results by calculating a mean for each location
