    Jews are taught not to blemish or injure animals or cause them distress. However, animal testing is allowed to help advance medical science. People should be kind to creatures (Deuteronomy 22:6).

    Sikhs think human superiority should not be seen as an excuse to mistreat animals. The Guru Granth Sahib teaches that God is present in all living beings and has a purpose for them. However, Sikhs accept animal testing if suffering is kept to a minimum and it advances medical science.
