  • Influent
Any wastewater flowing into a treatment plant
  • Effluent
Discharges from known source, which is passed into a body of water or land, or wastewater flowing out of a manufacturing plant, industrial plant including domestic, commercial and recreational facilities
  • How will discharges of wastewater be controlled?
All owners or operators of facilities that discharge wastewater are required to get "Waste Water Discharge Permit" from the DENR
