Incarnation

• The incarnation is Jesus who is the human form of God
• Jesus demonstrates God's love to people
• Incarnation means 'becoming flesh'. It refers to the belief that Jesus Christ is both fully divine and fully human at the same time.
• He was God the Son and part of the Trinity
• The incarnation shows how much God loved the world and human beings. Christians believe that Jesus was sent by God to be a sacrifice for sins, so that we can be forgiven. He wanted to save humanity. This love for mankind will mean that Christians will want to love God and live a life that pleases Him
• Jesus' incarnation means that He was able to understand what it was like to be human. He understood the misery of human suffering
• "The holy one is to be born will be called the Son of God" Luke 1:35
• Jesus is referred to as Christ or Messiah (anointed one) and he showed how Christians should live
• Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead three days later. They also believe that they are saved through faith in him
• John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only son..."
