    - RCs say every sexual act must be within the framework of marriage
    - in the bible it says be fruitful and multiply so the best place for having children is within marriage as the support and commitment has been made.
    -SOME liberal christians say that sex before marriage is okay because the values of a cohabiting couple are the same as that of a married couple eg love, faithfulness and commitment.
    -Adam and eve didn't have a proper wedding ceremony but when they had children they were made a couple. (Bible)

  • UK law on divorce and remarriage
    It is allowed- in 2022 law changed 5o 'no blame' divorce
    -around 40% of all marriages in the uk are second or subsequent marriages.
  • Christian view on divorce and remarriage

    -RC are very strict and do not allow divorce. A couple can separate but not remarry in church while their partner is alive because the wedding vows say 'till death do us part' and bc marriage is a sacrament
    But they do allow annulment which is proving there was never really a marriage if you can prove there was no sex, a person was unaware of seriousness of marriage, or 1 partner married with no intention of having kids.
    -Protestants don't really like divorce but accept as sometimes it can be the lesser of two evils.
    The wedding vows suggest that divorce is wrong and they seriously abide by Jesus teaching.
    However they also remember forgiveness and not judging others so divorce and remarriage is allowed.

    - wrong because heterosexual rships are what god intended and as God created as a and eve and told them to be fruitful and multiply. Which homosexual couples can't do.

    - A family is made of two adults 1 male and 1 female (United to his wife and they become 1 flesh)

    - it is accepted to remain single because Jesus never married.
