Cut a potato into identical cylinders - identical mass
2. After patting each potato dry, add them into a beaker containing different concentration solutions
3. Leave the potato for 24 hours
5. Remove the potato from each cylinder and dry them, remeasure their masses. An increase = lower concentration than the solution, A decrease = higher concentration than the solution
5. Repeat three times for each concentration and find a mean
To improve accuracy:
Repeat and find a mean
Use a vermier capillar instead of a ruler to measure length
Use a balance with a higher accuracy
Use different concentrations of solution
Risk assesment:
Cutting the potato - sharp knife - carry facing the ground and cut away from the body
Avoid coming into contact with the solutions - wash hands
