  • Having a well-written resume is very important in helping you secure an interview
  • Resume originated from the French word résumé which means "summary"
  • Resume - It is a concise document that highlights your education, work experiences, and other qualifications such as strength and skills.
  • A resume is usually an enclosure to application or cover letter so it is recommended to prepare your resume first

    1. List your technical knowledge first, in an organized way
    2. List your qualification in order of relevance, from most to least
    3. Quantify your experience wherever possible
    4. Begin sentences with action verbs

    6. Be concise. Resumes reflecting five years or less should fit on one page
    7. Omit needless items
    8. Have a trusted friend to review your resume
    9. Proofread. Make sure to get all spelling errors, grammatical weaknesses
