  D main message isn't about donating to charity but to ↑ the wages of the workers bc that will have the biggest impact to the poor children symbolized thru tiny tim. bc charity is a temporary fix but D wants a permanent fix which can only be done thru the salary ↑ which his readers can make bc they r prolly UC

  D doesnt show a fairy tale ending bc it is unrealistic this is more practical to make the UC audience acc do it

  bc to his UC audience they may still be reluctant to donate unanonymously to charity + raise their workers wage ↑ then needed comp to other employers bc make their rep look silly+ they r breaking the social norms. this would make the UC not want to do this. but S lets ppl laugh bc he is wise + D final message is that wisdom is in doing the right thing even if ur rep suffers
