What is adultery? 
Sexual relations between a married person and another that isn't their spouse.
Is it legal in UK?
Not considered a criminal offence but may have legal consequences in divorce proceedings.
Where is it legal?
UK and other European countries.
Where is it illegal? 
Many Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Almost half of USA consider it crime but most it is a minor offence.
Why the law varies between culture?
Religion - adultery is a sin.
Status of women - treated as husband's property.
