  • Lovell and the Staffords attempted a rebellion in 1486, but it was unsuccessful. Stafford was executed and Lovell fled to Burgundy.
  • Lambert Simnel and the Earl of Lincoln attempted a rebellion in 1487 after convincing Margaret of Burgundy to pay for a small army of merchants. Their force was defeated by the Earl of Oxford at the Battle of Stoke Field and John de la Pole, the Earl of Lincoln died in battle.
  • Perkin Warbeck made his first unsuccessful attempt to land in England in 1495 which led to Sir William Stanley being executed for treason for his involvement.
  • Warbeck hid out in Scotland and in 1496 a small Scottish force crossed the border for him briefly. In 1497, he attempted to exploit the ongoing Cornish rebellion but failed as Scottish support was withdrawn completely. Warbeck was imprisoned in the Tower of London and executed in 1499.
  • The Earl of Warwick posed a significant threat to Henry but he was executed in 1499 after attempting to escape with Perkin Warbeck.
  • The de la Pole brothers were a significant threat to Henry, but The Earl of Lincoln (John) died at Stoke, Edmund de la Pole, the Earl of Suffolk was returned to England under the Treaty of Windsor and executed for treason in 1513. Richard de la Pole died at the Battle of Pavia, killed by French forces.
