Types of long term memory

• Semantic memory - This is the part of LTM that involves knowing and recalling facts, concepts and meanings
• Procedural memory - This is the part of LTM involved in knowing how to do certain actions or skills. These memories are often very hard to explain but are highly automated allowing the person to focus on more demanding, complex tasks
