  • His hands placed on both sides of his head, elbows are on his knees, he's leaning forward on the bench, frustrated because Robinson's trial didn't go well
  • His head is down and he's looking at the floor in defeat
  • His eyebrows furrowed, a slight frown on his face
• Modine's actions


  1. Hears the door open

  2. Sits up straight, removing his hands from his head, placing them on his legs, doesn't turn his head to see who's opened the door

  3. His lips purse together in thought while Noble enters
• Noble


  • Slowly opens and closes the door, notices that Modine is upset
  • Her eyes widen in concern, opens her mouth to say something but closes them, thinking it's best not to annoy Modine
  • Turns to him and she takes two cautious steps toward him
  • He turns his head slightly to see who's there and turns it back once he sees her
• Modine's actions


  1. Stands up and turns to face Noble and raises his voice at her

  2. Asks, teeth gritted together, in a frustrated tone, why his kids were at the trial
• Noble's response


  • Immediately bounces back with an answer, voice raised too, one eyebrow raised, jaw clenched suggesting that she's surprised that Modine's testing her
  • Her eyes widen as Modine walks closer toward her: her fists are clenched, waiting for Modine to ask her the next question
• Modine's actions


  In an annoyed tone, asks, while wailing his arms around, why has she been acting up recently and not being friendly to him
• Noble's response


  • Takes a deep breath, licks her lips in annoyance, the corner of her lips pointing downwards and her character finally reveals why she has been angry at Finch this whole time
  • Her jaw is clenched, teeth gritting together and says in an angry tone that the reason Cal is mad at Finch is because when he told her that he was taking on Robinson's trial, he said "thank you" under his breath
• Modine's response


  His head lowers, stares at his feet as he takes in this information, his mouth is slightly open, thinking of a reply
• Noble's response


  • Talking to him in a scolding tone, saying how his character didn't even think that she heard but she actually did
• Modine's response


  1. Bites his lips as she continues to scold him

  2. Looks up, holds eye contact with her, he starts shouting at her with his arm muscles tense as he waves them around trying to justify why he had said that
• Noble's response


  • Just disappointed as the corners of her mouth are lowered, shoulders slumped and eyes drooped as she doesn't even react to Modine shouting at her
• Noble's actions


  Limply walks through the screen door, leaving Modine alone on the porch
• Modine's response


  • His arms drop in defeat and he looks at the floor with his lips sucked in
